Here are just a few venue related reasons why you will want to attend IACC’s next annual members event!

Sophisticated Smart Rooms
“Smart” conference rooms take the meeting experience to new collaborative levels with sophisticated electronic systems that provide presenters with total control of the meeting environment via a centralised control panel. This enables the presenter to dim or advance LED lighting within the room, control built-in projectors or close or open window coverings.

Simple touch-screens provide control of audio and visual within all individual conference and meeting spaces. Meeting room wireless capabilities support audience feedback applications in meetings. Active Listening Systems, which connect to the audio system to transmit audio directly to guests with hearing challenges, are available in all conference rooms.

Meeting rooms and breakout spaces are equipped with motorised screens and electronic projection capabilities and sound amplification.

The spacious ballroom is wired with highly sophisticated LED ceiling lighting and ceiling lighting grids. This enables planners to bring their own lighting and install it in the grids built into the ceiling.

Meeting Rooms That Inspire
UCLA recognises that technical achievements, however stellar, must be infused with humanity and vision. Consequently, the buildings 25 meeting rooms are each named to reinforce the Luskin Conference Center’s mission to educate and inspire. Names such as Artistry, Catalyst and Synergy mark the rooms and quotes from leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr., Ansel Adams and Steve Jobs add the perspective of society’s most creative and committed social, technological and artistic leaders.

Connectivity is Key
Contiguous, rapid-speed and powerful bandwidth is critical and The Luskin Conference Center offers the most advanced connectivity, audiovisual equipment and teleconference services available.

High-speed Wi-Fi throughout the facility is fundamental to the meetings process, of course. But it is also the key to security, accounting, sustainability, energy savings and food and beverage.” The entire building is Wi-Fi enabled, providing centralized control of operations.

The Luskin Conference Center also provides high-speed connectivity for third-party vendors who can simply plug in directly into the conference center’s control systems. As well, vanity URLs are available for each meeting group.

Sustainability
The venue adopted sustainability commitments and goals in all operational areas. The Green Building Design utilises the latest design/construction practices and technologies to conserve water and energy. Systems are in place to ensure environmentally preferable purchasing policies, sustainable food services and, using the UCLA transportation system, sustainable transit polices. The Conference Center has taken ambitious steps toward achieving Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Certification.

Inspired Architectural Design
The Luskin Conference Center owes its formal architectural roots and inspiration to UCLA’s great Romanesque Revival buildings: Royce Hall and Powell Library. Designed by the noted San Francisco architects, Hornberger + Worstel, the lead architects for the project, the center builds on this architectural tradition, but in a modern way that optimises resources to create a sustainable, cost-effective environment.

Taking advantage of the Southern California climate, the Luskin Center’s landscape and architecture are designed to accommodate a seamless flow of indoor/outdoor functions for up to 600 guests.

Location, Location, Location
The Luskin Conference Center is a leaning destination that is strategically located in the heart of the UCLA campus, close to educational, research, medical facilities, sporting and performing arts venues as well as highly acclaimed art museums.

The campus itself is located in Westwood, one of Los Angeles’ most attractive and lively areas, noted for its vintage movie theaters, fine shops and restaurants. The UCLA Luskin Conference Center is just 10 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, and 15 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. Hollywood and the beaches of Santa Monica are just eight miles away.
